Human Antenna by Student

Swiss designer Florian Kräutli presents here Human Antenna carpet. The white carpet is interwoven with a conductive thread, that pick up radio waves received by the persons standing on it. The person standing on the carpet is basically turned into a human antenna. By walking across the carpet, it is possible to tune in different radio frequencies.

By the look of the video, the product might not be that useful in everyday life, however I like the idea about using the human body to replace something as ugly as an antenna.
